Flights for Food Campaign Enjoys Successful First-Year
Kathi Hunt of Doylestown is selected as winner of raffle drawing
DOYLESTOWN, PA – The Bucks County Airport Authority, Doylestown Pilot Association and Leading Edge Aviation recently teamed up to host a food drive benefiting the Bucks County Housing Group Community Food Pantry.
Called “Flights for Food” the campaign gave all donors the opportunity to enter a drawing for a free Discovery Flight or first flight lesson (compliments of Leading Edge Aviation). Kathi Hunt of Doylestown was selected as the winner.
Flights for Food, which took place the week prior to Thanksgiving, collected nearly 200 pounds of food for the Pantry.
“We’re really pleased with the level of support that this campaign received from the community,” said Allen Black, Chairman of the Bucks County Airport Authority Board. “It is a testament to the generous nature of our local residents. I’m looking forward to making this an even greater success next year.”
